YVES St. LAURENT

Need we say more? Probably not...but we will. Laurent was born in 1936 and raised in a villa near the Mediterranean with two younger sisters. He moved to Paris at 18 where his designs were quickly noticed. He was soon introduced to Christian Dior and a moment in fashion history was made. When Dior Died in 1958, Laurent was named head designer...he was 21 years old. He would go on to become the first couturier to design a full Ready to Wear line. He is regarded as one of the greatest designers in fashion history as well as being responsible for reviving couture following WWII. Yves St. Laurent died in 2008, but his design legacy will live on forever.
